A bird's-eye view

Meaning:

  • A view from high above
  • A hasty look at something, a brief survey lacking details


Example sentences:

Brno looks wonderful from a bird's-eye view.



The book provides a bird's-eye view of some of the methods but it doesn't go into much detail so I'll get another one.
